What changed in the port

Which parts became utilities, which stayed CSS, and why.

  • Bug fix from the CSS original: the grid rule declared transform twice, so the first translateX(-50%) was silently discarded; here centring is -translate-x-1/2 (its own property) and the tilt lives in [transform:…].
  • UI upgrade: the floor now scrolls toward the viewer, a glowing horizon line anchors the scene, and a live stalls open indicator adds urgency next to the CTA.
  • UI upgrade: under motion-reduce: the CTA keeps a static glow instead of losing it; Space Grotesk gives the headline a sharper tech edge.

How this works

A moving floor from two gradients. Pink horizontal and cyan vertical 1px lines repeat every 25px; the layer is tilted back with a perspective transform and its background-position-y animates by exactly one tile, so the grid scrolls forever.

Glow without blur filters. Every neon effect is text-shadow or box-shadow — cheap to paint and crisp at any zoom.

Make it yours

  • Static floor: remove animate-ths24-floor.
  • Swap neon pair via --color-ths24-pink and --color-ths24-cyan.
  • Add a sun: a rounded-full bg-linear-to-b from-amber-300 to-pink-500 disc behind the horizon.

Gotchas — read before shipping

  • Neon on near-black can bloom for some readers; body copy stays a calmer lavender.
  • The grid layer is 220% wide so its perspective edges stay off-screen — keep overflow-hidden on the root.
